How we work

How We Work With You

Four steps, the same every time: send us the matter, we assess it, you get the
options and the fee, then we prepare the work and deliver it.

01

Send us your matter

Tell us what has happened and share the documents involved. A short summary, a copy of the contract or the letter you have received is usually enough to begin.

02

We assess the position

We read what you have sent and work out what the issues actually are, which of them matter, and what the sensible next step would be.

03

You get options and a fee

We set out the realistic options and what each one involves, and confirm the fee for the work, so you can decide with the numbers in front of you.

04

We prepare and deliver

Drafting, review, letters or documents, prepared and returned to you electronically with a short explanation of what has been done.

Getting started

What to send us first.

A short description of the situation, and copies of anything you already have — the contract,
the letter, the notice, the terms you have been given. If you are not sure what is relevant, send what
you have and we will tell you what else would help.

We will confirm how to send anything confidential before you pass it over. Please do not send
sensitive documents in the first message.

How fees are confirmed.

We do not publish a price list, because two matters that look alike can need very different amounts
of work. Instead we look at what you have sent, decide what the matter needs, and confirm the fee for
that work before you commit to anything.

Fees are quoted in euros and confirmed in writing. If the scope changes once we start — because
a matter turns out to involve more than it first appeared — we will tell you before doing the
additional work, not after.
